The National Park Service (NPS) received a work plan for a cultural resources survey entitled "Seismic Assistants, Ltd's. Cultural Resource Survey in the Big Sandy Creek Corridor Unit, Turkey Creek Corridor Unit, and Village Creek Corridor Unit of the Big Thicket National Preserve in Hardin and Tyler Counties, Texas, Research Design" on July 21, 2006. This research design has been developed with the guidance of the NPS in order to develop a plan of operations for the Knight Phase IV 3-D Seismic Survey, and to provide for the avoidance of cultural resource sites during the proposed 3-D seismic operation.
