A flume capable of accurately measuring flows between 0.5 and 6 cubic feet per second will be installed in the diversion dam for the water intake on the South Fork of the Merced River. A pre-existing concrete filled notch (15" high by 48" wide), which orginally housed a water level control device, will be removed and a metal weir (15" high and 42" wide) will be installed in its place. The flume will be connected to a datalogger and transmitter located on the left bank of the river above the high water line via 2" metal conduit.
