BIG OAK FLAT ROAD
Emergency stabilization of a 200-lineal foot by 40 foot vertical foot by 20 foot wide segment of the Big Oak Flat Road. The work would includes traffic control, installatiion of a culvert, underdrain, placement of a new rock-filled embankment with geogrid reinforcement, pulverizing existing pavement in place, the repaving and striping the roadway. This is a very serious health and safety concern, therefore either we commence reconstructing this embankment immediately, close the road or we accept the risk of a fatal accident occurring within the next month.

EL PORTAL ROAD
This will be an emergency repair of a 25 foot long by 4 foot wide by 4 foot deep section of roadway just east of the intersection with the Big Oak Flat Road. The damaged embankment underlies a portion of the historic rock wall along the edge of the roadway. The work would include traffic control, placement of concrete slurry within newly discovered voids in the road embankment, then covering with dry laid Sierra white granite riprap. It also wouild include placement of a very fluid grout pumpted into the cracks in the adjacent roadway (within about a 100 foot area) and then application of an asphalt slurry seal of all damaged asphalt.
