Badger Pass Eagle and Bruin Ski Lift DCS Drive Replacement

The purpose of this project is to replace the Distributed Control Subsystem (DCS) Drives on the Eagle and Bruin Ski Lifts located at the Badger Pass Ski Area. All work necessary to install the DCS drives is confined within the ski lift engine rooms. Excavation is not necessary. Access to the engine rooms for equipment installation will occur on existing ski area roads. There will be no additional equipment accessing the Monroe Meadow to Eagle or Bruin lifts.
Replacement of the Eagle lift DCS drive will restore it to working condition – it is currently inoperable until the drive is replaced.
The Bruin lift DSC drive is 25-years old and failure is eminent. Replacement of the drive will insure full-time operation of the beginner's ski lift. (nearly 60% of the Badger Pass skier population are beginners).
Both drives are designed, manufactured, and installed specifically for each model HP100 & HP200 YAN ski lift. Manufacturing lead-time is estimated at 8-weeks.
The old drives and controls will be removed from the park by the installation contractor and disposed of in accordance with the appropriate Local, State, and Federal regulations.
