The National Park Service at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore announces the availability of the Water Wheel and Casey's Canoe Livery Restoration Environmental Assessment beginning on June 23, 2007. This environmental assessment (EA) describes past and proposed restoration efforts. Restoration for this project will focus on returning the riverbanks to a natural state. The document describes and compares the advantages and disadvantages of restoring the riverbanks and discusses the impacts associated with the alternatives. The Lakeshore welcomes the public to comment on the EA until July 23, 2007.
