At the request of Congress, the National Park Service undertook a study to analyze alternatives for including the Wright Company factory (the site) as a unit of Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park in Ohio. In conducting the study, entitled “The Wright Company Factory Boundary Assessment”, the NPS consulted with the Delphi Corporation, the Aviation Heritage Foundation, state and local agencies, and other interested parties. The study examines the site’s significance, feasibility for administration by the NPS, options for management, and presents the findings. Four alternatives for management were analyzed, and the potential consequences and environmental impacts of those alternatives are identified and assessed in this document.
