The Ahwahnee, Install ADA Compliant Elevator Controls (CIF 3000)

The purpose of this project is to correct ADA deficiencies at the Ahwahnee Hotel passenger elevator. The following items will be corrected to meet those standards:
1- Call buttons (interior and exterior) are too high from the floor
2- Call buttons (interior and exterior) identification is not braille embossed
3- Call buttons (interior and exterior) are recessed
4- Emergency phone is not auto-dial / visual notification system
5- Door on emergency phone cabinet requires pinching and/or grasping
6- Elevator does not have audible annunciation for each floor
7- Self-leveling mechanism does not provide an abrupt rise of less than ½" between the elevator floor and the hoistway
so the transition between the elevator floor and hoistway.
8- There is no permanent braille identification for floors or permanent rooms.
9- Sixth floor between elevator floor and hoistway has an abrupt rise of more than ½".
