Rockside Road Bridges Replacement

The Cuyahoga County Department of Public Works proposes to replace the deficient bridge on Rockside Road over the Cuyahoga River. The piers that are currently in the river will be moved to the banks to provide a bigger hydraulic opening for the bridge and to mitigate debris buildup in the river. The project will require permanent and temporary easement or right-of-way from within the boundaries of Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP) to facilitate the bridge replacement. The purpose of the Rockside Road bridge replacement is to ensure the safety of the public on top of the bridge and under the bridge.
