Please join park staff and planners to learn about how the National Park Service proposes to restore and stabilize Hoover Creek for flood mitigation. The project is needed to provide critical resource protection for the National Archives and Records Administration offices, the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum, and over 60 percent of the historic site's facilities, as well as archeological sites. Implementation of the proposed project would provide the ability to manage the highest level of flood protection possible while minimizing impacts to historic and natural resources. The project would also aid in the restoration of the riparian environment and proper functioning hydrologic conditions along Hoover Creek.

Description:
The National Park Service is currently in the public and agency scoping phase of the proposed project and will present an overview of the project at the public scoping meeting.
