Savage River Area New Trails Environmental Assessment and FONSI


The National Park Service is proposing to construct and maintain the Savage Alpine Trail, Savage Camp Interpretive Trail and other short trails improving the connections between the Savage River, Savage Campground, Savage Cabin and the new Savage Rest Stop along the mile 12 to mile 15 section of the park road in the entrance area of Denali National Park and Preserve. Two Action alternatives and a No Action alternative are evaluated in the Environmental Assessment.
