Lees Ferry Road Rehabilitation and Paria River Bridge Stabilization Finding of No Significant Impact

This finding of no significant impact (FONSI) and the environmental assessment (EA) constitute the record of the environmental impact analysis and decision-making process for the Lees Ferry Road Rehabilitation and Paria River Bridge Stabilization. The NPS will implement the preferred alternative, which includes restoring, rehabilitating, and repaving Lees Ferry Road, making lane widths consistent, adjusting curve radii, and improving drainage. The project will also stabilize the riverbanks and reduce erosion near the Paria River Bridge. Incorporated into the project design are measures for protection of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area natural and cultural resources. The preferred alternative was selected after careful review of resource and visitor impacts and public comment.

This document records (1) a FONSI as required by the National Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) and (2) a determination of no impairment as required by the NPS Organic Act of 1916 (see Appendix).
