Proposed Fishing Regulation Changes for Glacier National Park


Glacier National Park is proposing changes to fishing regulations within the park. The objective is to better manage native fish resources consistent with Glacier National Park's mission. The park is seeking public comment on the proposed changes. Comments are due by December 30, 2009.

Proposed changes include providing additional protection to native westslope cutthroat trout populations on thw est side of the park through implementation of catch and release regulations and liberalizing catch and possession limits on non-native brook trout park-wide. Other changes proposed address simplifying, clarifying and making the regulations consistent.
