Finding of NoSignificant Impact for Many Glacier WWTP

Glacier National Park will be making improvements to the sewage system and wastewater treatment facilities for the Swiftcurrent and Many Glacier developed areas. In general, the Many Glacier wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) is providing adequate treatment of the wastewater according to fecal contamination levels measured in waters around the WWTP in 2005 that were found to be below EPA recreational standards. However, the facilities have deteriorated consistent with age and exposure to the relatively harsh environmental conditions. Both the sewage lines and treatment systems are over 30 years old and are showing signs of deterioration.
