Proposed regulations to implement the Spill Impact Component of the RESTORE Act


The Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council (Council) has released a proposed regulation to implement the Spill Impact Component of the RESTORE Act. These regulations will establish the formula allocating funds made available from the Gulf Coast Restoration Trust Fund (Trust Fund) among the Gulf Coast States of Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas pursuant to Sec. 1603(3) of the RESTORE Act.

This proposed regulation, is available for public and tribal review and comment through Oct. 29, 2015.

Interested individuals, organizations, agencies and tribes are encouraged to provide comments regarding the scope, content, and any significant issues the Council should consider in with the proposed regulation to implement the Spill Impact Component. The Council will accept comments from the public for 30 days from the date that the Notice of Availability is published in the Federal Register.
