Draft Initial Funded Priorities List

The Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council (Council) has released a 2015 draft Initial Funded Priorities List (draft FPL). Using funds from the settlement with Transocean Deepwater Inc., the Council is seeking to provide near-term, on-the-ground ecosystem benefits. This draft FPL will continue to build a foundation for future success as additional funds become available. The Council is proposing to focus on ten key watersheds across the Gulf in order to concentrate and leverage funds to address critical ecosystem needs in high priority locations.

This draft FPL, totaling approximately $139.6 million, is available for public and tribal review and comment through Sept. 28, 2015.

Interested individuals, organizations, agencies and tribes are encouraged to provide comments regarding the scope, content, and any significant issues the Council should consider in the draft FPL. The Council will accept comments from the public for 45 days from the date that the Notice of Availability is published in the Federal Register.
