Ice Age Floods NGT Foundation Document

The foundation planning process confirms the purpose and significance of Ice Age Floods National Geologic Trail, identifies fundamental resources and values, and establishes primary interpretive themes. The foundation document helps to ensure that future planning and management activities focus on these priorities by ensuring that staff and shareholders have a mutal understanding of the priorities and objectives required to protect the highly significant trail resources and values.

This foundation document provides the opportunity to integrate all previous planning and decision-making efforts into a single focused vision of what is most important about Ice Age Floods National Geologic Trail. This understanding is grounded in the legislation that established the trail and in the knowledge of floods features held by the public agencies and other organizations that manage the trail in partnership.
