Proposed Construction of the Montgomery Interpretive Center - Finding of No Significant Impact

The National Park Service (NPS) Southeast Regional Director has approved the Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Proposed Construction of the Montgomery Interpretive Center. This document records the decision of the NPS to construct an Interpretive Center for the Selma to Montgomery National Historic Trail in Montgomery, Alabama as described under Alternative 1 in the Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Proposed Construction of the Montgomery Interpretive Center.

The NPS has determined that the proposed project will not significantly affect the human environment within the project area; therefore, an Environmental Impact Statement will not be required.
