Peace Corps Memorial - Public Scoping For Potential Sites

The National Park Service (NPS) and the Peace Corps Commemorative Foundation (PCCF) announce the beginning of the Environmental Assessment (EA) process to evaluate the impacts of establishing a commemorative work to honor the founding of the Peace Corps and the ideals on which the Peace Corps was founded. The PCCF, in cooperation with the NPS, has identified several parcels adjacent to the U.S. Capitol and along Pennsylvania Avenue NW between 18th Street NW and Rock Creek Park as potential sites for the commemorative work.

The public is invited to comment on the proposed establishment of a commemorative work on federal parcels north of the U.S. Capitol and along Pennsylvania Avenue NW, and to identify potential issues or concerns for consideration in the EA.
