Finding of No Significant Impact for Oil and Gas Well Plugging and Reclamation Project

This finding of no significant impact (FONSI) and the environmental assessment constitute the record of the environmental analysis and decision-making for the plugging and reclamation of orphaned oil and natural gas (gas) wells at Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, including 45 known wells. The National Park Service will implement alternative B, which includes the plugging and reclamation of orphaned oil and gas wells using American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds, eliminating threats to the environment and health and safety.
