Preliminary Draft Alternatives - Full Text of Public Comments and Comment Summary Report - April 2013

The full text of public comments received during the public review period for the preliminary draft alternatives for the Wilderness Stewardship Plan are available for inspection. Names of individuals have been redacted. Any attachments included with public comments are attached below with the Correspondence ID number referenced.

Also included is the Preliminary Draft Alternatives Public Comment Summary Report (Report). The Report provides a summary of the public comments received during the public review for the preliminary draft alternatives, and assigns codes to those comments based on the subject.

Comments from people who chose to respond do not necessarily represent the sentiments of the entire public, and may not accurately reflect existing conditions, directions, or situations. Furthermore, this was not a vote-counting process, and the emphasis was on content of the comment rather than the number of times a comment was received. This report is intended to be a summary of the comments received, rather than a statistical analysis.

All comments within both of these documents are verbatim; as a result, grammatical and typographical errors have not been modified.

The comments are being considered as the draft alternatives and concepts are revised. The updated draft alternatives will be presented to the public later this year in the Draft Wilderness Stewardship Plan/Draft Environmental Impact Statement.
