Newsletter #1 - Public Scoping


This newsletter described the proposed action under consideration in the Preserve Management Plan / Wild and Scenic River Study / Environmental Assessment. The last document of this project that has been listed was a Finding of No Significant Impact for the implementation of the plan. The park thanks all those who have participated in this planning process.

3. NPS's preliminary wild and scenic eligibility study found Lake Creek and Upper Cave Creek to be eligible based
on their free-flowing character and ecologic outstandingly remarkable value (see page 8 in the newsletter). Do you support wild and scenic river designation of Lake Creek (headwaters to Forest Road 960) and Upper Cave Creek from its headwaters to the boundary with the Cave and River Styx? Why or why not?
