These files provide background on wilderness management within the National Park Service and provide specific information on the Stephen Mather Wilderness including the Act that designated this wilderness, a map of the wilderness, and a federal register notice that converted over 3,000 acres of potential wilderness to designated wilderness within the Stephen Mather Wilderness in 2012.
