FONSI Carbon River Wonderland Trail Reroute

The environmental assessment and the finding of no significant impact (FONSI) constitute the record of the environmental impact analysis and decision-making process for this visitor safety and wilderness resource stewardship project. The National Park Service (NPS) will implement alternative 3, the management preferred alternative, as described in the Mount Rainier National Park EA. The flood-damaged segment of the Carbon River Wonderland Trail will be rerouted to higher ground.
