Draft Foundation Statement June 2011


This draft Foundation Statement for Kalaupapa National Historical Park has been updated following public comments made by the public during earlier public comment periods and additional planning team reviews.

This updated version also includes elements that have been translated in to the Hawaiian language, including the purpose of the National Park System, the purpose of Kalaupapa National Historical Park, the significance statements, interpretive themes, and several of the fundamental resources and values.
