Interim Comment Response Report

The NPS has analyzed and responded to the comments received from 11/4/14 through 11/24/14 on the Emergency Access Route along the Lava-Covered Chain of Craters Kalapana Road Environmental Review and Decision document. The Public Comment Summary and Response Report was developed to address the comments received and also includes Public Comments (Appendix A), Frequently Asked Questions (Appendix B), and Summary of Mitigations from Public Comments (Appendix C).

The public comment period will remain open until the road construction is completed (anticipated to be mid-January 2015). A final comment response report will be completed when the comment period closes.
