Final EA, FONSI, Determination of No Impairment

A Final Environmental Assessment (EA), Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI), and Determination of No Impairment for the Muir Woods Sustainable Access Project have been completed. The Final EA addresses substantive comments received on the Draft EA published November 2016 and meets compliance requirements under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA).The FONSI describes the rationale used in selecting the alternative for implementation and provides an explanation of why it will have no significant effects on the human environment. Included in these documents is a "NPS Response to Comments" for comments received on the Draft Environmental Assessment. These documents can be downloaded using the links below. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2019.
