Memorandum of Agreement


The National Park Service has entered into a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the New York and New Jersey State Historic Preservation Offices, the New York Landmarks Preservation Commission, Stockbridge-Munsee Community, Delaware Tribe, Statue of Liberty Ellis Island Foundation, and Advisory Council on Historic Preservation. The memorandum of agreement outlines mitigation measures to offset the adverse effects on the pending Statue of Liberty National Monument — Liberty Island Historic District.
