DRAFT MOA for Demolition of SAHO 119, 120


The DRAFT Memorandum of Agreement among NPS, Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) and the New Jersey State Historic Preservation Officer (NJ SHPO) for the demolition of buildings 119 and 120, Sandy Hook, Monmouth County NJ is provided for public comment.

A document providing an overview of the history and significance of buildings 119 and 120 in the Fort Hancock and Sandy Hook Proving Ground National Historic Landmark District, damage that the buildings sustained due to Hurricane Sandy in 2012, designation of the buildings in the 2014 Gateway National Recreation Area General Management Plan, and the proposed demolition. A map and photos of the buildings are provided as separate documents.

Correspondence between NPS and ACHP, NJ SHPO and consulting parties is also provided.
