Draft General Management Plan/Environmental Impact Statement - Summer 2013 Newsletter

This newsletter is an abridged version of the Draft GMP/EIS. It is intended to provide some background to the draft plan and a complete description of the NPS's preferred alternative for future management of the park without reading the full draft plan. While this newsletter provides a complete description of the preferred alternative, the full text of all other sections can be found in the Draft GMP/EIS. The sections not provided in this newsletter include the following: park description, complete description of the management alternatives, affected environment, environmental consequences, user capacity, consultation and coordination efforts, and appendices.

We welcome your comments on this newsletter or on the full-text version of the plan. Your thoughtful comments are important to us and will make a difference as we finalize the plan in the coming year.
