Susquehanna to Roseland 500-kV Transmission Line Right-of-Way and Special Use Permit Draft Environmental Impact Statement - DEIS December 2011
The National Park Service has published the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for construction and right-of-way permit as requested by Pennsylvania Power and Light Electric Utilities Corporations (PPL) and Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G), in connection with their proposed Susquehanna-Roseland transmission line. They propose to replace an existing 230kV transmission line with a double circuit transmission line carrying both a 230kV line capable of being energized to 500kV and a new 500kV line across the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, Middle Delaware National Scenic and Recreational River, and Appalachian National Scenic Trail, in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
A public comment period including public meetings has started and will end on January 31, 2012. The Draft EIS is available for review and comment on this PEPC website. To facilitate downloading, the PEPC version was divided into12 PDF files. The Draft EIS will be available for viewing at the Delaware Water Gap NRA Headquarters, 1 River Road (off US 209) Bushkill, PA. Additionally, hardcopies will be available at local libraries.

You are also invited to attend public meetings to learn about the project and provide your comments. There will be three open houses (2:30-4:30pm) and three public hearings (6:00-9:00pm) in January at the following locations:
