Canal Place Heritage Area Management Plan Update - Public Scoping


The Canal Place Preservation and Development Authority, The City of Cumberland, and the National Park Service (Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park) invite you to review and comment on the Canal Heritage Area Management Plan Update. Comments received will help develop project alternatives.

In order to facilitate the development of project components, a 31-day public scoping period has been announced by project leaders. During this scoping period, April 18-May 18, 2012, the public is invited to identify any issues or concerns they might have with the proposed project. Comments received will be used to develop project alternatives and elements/components.

We are only accepting written comments, which can be submitted either through this website or via postal letter. Comments will only be accepted April 18, 2012 through May 18, 2012. Comments must be submitted or be postmarked by midnight on May 18, 2012 to be considered. Please reference this project by name on all hardcopy correspondence. Hardcopy mailing address is listed below.
