Environmental Assessment for the Fire Management Plan


The Environmental Assessment for the 2016 Fire Management Plan (FMP) is currently being developed along with a new Fire Management Plan to ensure compliance with the new management policies. The FMP addresses the need for an integrated fire management program that restores fire as a fundamental ecological process while protecting people, structures, and adjacent lands from fire. The EA reviews and analyzes potential impacts associated with fire management operations on the Preserve's natural and cultural resources.
