Tassi Ranch Site Management Plan Environmental Assessment
Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument is proposing a site management plan for Tassi Ranch. The proposed action includes implementing the recommended actions from the Cultural Landscape Report (CLR), maintaining viable habitat for the special status riparian and aquatic species in the project area, and providing sustainable visitor use. Components of the proposed action include stabilization and rehabilitation of historic structures, vegetation management, and modification to visitor infrastructure. The proposed action includes accommodation for research and monitoring activities not limited to: wildlife inventories, climate monitoring and geologic mapping.
Because public participation is essential to the success of the planning process, the National Park Service encourages you to comment during the 30-day public scoping period. Comments and recommendations regarding the scope of the environmental assessment will be accepted through December 31, 2018.
