Hydrological Study of Merced River in Vicinity of Sugar Pine Bridge - May 16, 2016 Stakeholder Workshop Notes/Handouts
The National Park Service (NPS) at Yosemite National Park is working with the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), and the Center for Collaborative Policy at Sacramento State University to complete a scientific study on the hydrology of the Merced River in the vicinity of the historic Sugar Pine Bridge. The intent of this study is to provide information to stakeholders and decision-makers, including information on design of treatments to improve river conditions while retaining the historic bridge.
As part of the study process, the Park held a stakeholders workshop in Yosemite Valley on Monday, May 16 from 12:30-4:30 PST. The goal of the workshop was to provide all participants with a better understanding of the objectives for this long-range study and to set a foundation for further discussions as research findings are developed.
