Consultation letters with the New Mexico State Historic Preservation Office and Affiliated Pueblo Communities

The New Mexico State Historic Preservation Office (NM SHPO) requests a site visit in response to the initial consultation letter (also sent to affiliated tribes, but not included for public view due to the inclusion of sensitive archeological site information). The site visit takes place and a letter is received by Bandelier National Monument from the NM SHPO indicating that a determination of No Adverse Effect can be achieved as long as certain measures are instituted. A letter in reply describing proposed mitigations is sent to the NM SHPO and affiliated pueblos.
