Public Scoping Comment Summary #2


On September 3, 2014, the National Park Service (NPS) released Newsletter #2 for the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve Ungulate Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement to the public for review and comment. The newsletter included a letter from Superintendent Carrico inviting public participation and input during the scoping process, a description of the purpose, need, and objectives, and a range of preliminary alternative concepts. The public scoping period was open through November 2, 2014. Two public meetings were held during this time in Crestone and Alamosa, Colorado.

The public comment report available for download below includes analysis of comments received during the public comment period and all comments received by code. The appendix includes all correspondence received.
