Trim and remove obscuring vegetation along designated park roads and in park visitor use areas such as campgrounds and day use areas parkwide.
Minor accidents have occurred as a possible result of obscuring vegetation. Vegetation hangs so low in many areas, that park equipment (trailers hauling backhoes, dumptrucks, etc) cannot access certain areas resulting is significant delays to the completion of planned projects. This also affects the park visitor entering or traversing the park with a camper trailer or motorhome. Visitor use of facilities is improved. Reducing the stress and uncertainty of travel down a road within the park by opening up visibility can only improve the visitor experience and sense of safety and security while in the park. Many visitors travel by large RV's. Overhanging vegetation can seriously damage the vehicles and the equipment and belongings stored atop the vehicles. The park is also involved in partnerships with local counties involving the brush surrounding park and county roads.
