x500kV Underground Feasibility Study


This file contains the 500kV Underground Feasibility Study prepared by Patrick Engineering for the National Park Service. NPS asked Patrick Engineering to conduct an engineering analysis of the feasibility of installing 500kV electric transmission lines underground. The study consists of two documents.

UG Study 1 contains the following sections: Executive Summary, Introduction, Technical Feasibility, Economic Feasibility, Future Construction Opportunities, and three attachments.

UG Study 2 contains Attachments 4 - 9. Attachment 9 includes correspondence between NPS and FPL, and FPL's feasibility assessment for undergrounding 500kV transmission lines.
