Spring Public Scoping

At this early stage of the planning process (Spring 2012) no plan has yet been created for your review. However, we are very interested in your ideas regarding future river management (and a commercial services strategy) at Niobrara National Scenic River. At this point you can most significantly prepare for and participate in the planning process by reading the Outstandingly Remarkable Values (ORV) Workshop Report linked to this website (look under "Documents" on the menu to the left) and, if possible, by attending one of the April public scoping workshops. You may share your specific comments or questions by clicking the "Comment" button above.

Topic Questions:
1. Your ideas are welcome. You might consider some of the following to help focus your response: “What do you think some of the major impacts to the ORVs could be?” (These may be positive or negative impacts.) “How could these impacts be measured or monitored?” “How could positive impacts be enhanced or negative impacts mitigated?” “How could Niobrara NSR be managed to enhance visitor experiences and meet their expectations (e.g. use “zones” of space on river or time of day/week to achieve desired visitor experiences)?”
