FONSI Replacement of Law Enforcement Divsion Headquarters

The following link is for the Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) decision document to accompany the Padre Island National Seashore Replacement of the Division of Law Enforcement Headquarters Environmental Assessment (EA)/Assessment of Effect (AoE). A FONSI serves two functions for the National Park Service. It is the "proof" that no significant impacts would occur if the proposal is implemented, and it explains the rationale used in selecting the alternative for implementation. The environmentally preferable alternative, as indicated in the EA, must also be identified. The FONSI also presents the projects mitigation measures, and any changes to the project's draft EA/AoE must be cited in the FONSI's Errata Sheets. Any consultation with other agencies must be completed before the FONSI can be signed, and a Statement of Findings for Floodplains is attached to this project's FONSI.
