Public Scoping Notice

The image above shows the existing river access facility at the Rogers Bridge Park in the City of Duluth. The attached document contains the new master plan for the park, which includes an upgraded river access facility that will require a National Park Service Special Use Permit to construct. If approved, the new facility would be constructed as a step down canoe and kayak launch.

The public scoping and comment period will be open through May 16, 2011. Comments received will help the park managers to define the scope of the EA, including what potential impacts and alternatives should be evaluated in the EA. A second public comment period will occur once the EA is completed. Please be aware that your entire message, including personal identifying information, may be made publicly available. While you can ask to have your identity withheld, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so. We will always make submissions from organizations or businesses, and from individuals identifying themselves as representatives of organizations or businesses, available for public inspection.
