Draft Alternatives - Trail Management Plan

The National Park Service (NPS) invites the public to participate and provide comments on the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Trail Management Plan Draft Alternatives.

Six draft alternatives have been developed for the Cuyahoga Valley National Park's Trail Management Plan. These alternatives may be considered for evaluation. These initial alternatives are organized to reflect the input from public scoping. Each alternative reflects a trail experience theme for the park visitor. A brief description of the Alternatives is found in the Press Release below.

The NPS has prepared a Trail Management Plan Workbook to provide a progress report of the planning process to date and a full description and maps of the Draft Alternatives. There were a series of public meetings in September 2010 to learn more about these Alternatives.

This document is available for download below. We encouraged the public to review the workbook thoroughly and provide their comments on the Draft Alternatives online during the public scoping period, which ended on January 14, 2011. The park is considering all input received and is now revising the set of final Alternatives to be evaluated in the EIS.

UPDATE (9/23/10): A revised Workbook was posted September 23rd that contains corrections to the table on Pages 18-19.

UPDATE (10/4/10): We have posted a set of Frequently Asked Questions (and our answers) from the public meetings.
