Two Lakes Land Exchange EA

The National Park Service is proposing to acquire approximately three acres of the eastern portion of U.S. Survey 5035 Alaska (NPS Tract LACL 05-104), a five acre parcel located on the shore of Two Lakes, in exchange for a parcel of an equivalent value abutting the western boundary of U.S. Survey 5035. An environmental assessment evaluates the effects of the no-action alternative as well as the proposal to exchange lands (NPS Preferred Alternative).

Pursuant to the Land Water Conservation Fund Act, 16 USC 460l-22(b), upon request of the State, the Lake and Peninsula Borough, or a party of interest, the National Park Service will hold a public hearing about this exchange. Please send requests and/or questions to: Chuck Gilbert, Chief, Land Resources Program Center, at Chuck_Gilbert@nps.gov, or National Park Service, Attn: Chuck Gilbert, 240 W. 5th Ave., Rm. 114, Anchorage, Alaska 99501.
