27389 - Interpretive Walk, Hikes, and other Programs


This project covers the delivery, development and display of interpretive visitor center lobby and/or auditorium exhibits, talks, orientation film showings and film festivals, information desk activities and bookstore sales/displays.

Also included are outdoor talks, walks, hikes and other programs taking place in the developed visitor center area, and along hiking and boardwalk trails - including but not limited to bird walks, Fire Point hikes, Sny Magill hikes, Marching Bear hikes, Teacher Workshops, Yellow River Bridge Boardwalk hikes. Three Mound talks, reserved group talks/ hikes, impromptu group tour talks & hikes, formal educational talks, hikes & programs, prairie walks, roving ranger assignments, owl walks and other (non living history) night hikes and activities. All outdoor activities take place on currently developed trails and roads, no props or signs are placed on or around mounds or known archeological sites. Hikers are requested to stay on trails at all times
