Taphonomic Comparison between the Late Pleistocene Key Largo Limestone and its Living Coral Reef Counterparts

This brief study is examining the early process which transforms loose coral sediment into cemented coral rock. This research will involve the collection of loose sediment, but there will be no coring for deeper sediments. In addition to the collection of sediment the will be the collection of small partially cemented coral rubble. Neither collection will require much material. No ho0le will be left on the bottom when the collection process is finished.
