White-tailed Deer Management Plan and Draft Environmental Impact Statement

This White-tailed Deer Management Plan and Draft Environmental Impact Statement describes four alternatives for the management of deer at Rock Creek Park, as well as the environment that would be affected by the alternatives and the environmental consequences of implementing these alternatives.

Upon the close of the comment period, NPS will review all public comment and revise the document in response to the comments received. A final version will be released, and a 30-day no-action period will follow. Following that 30-day period, a Record of Decision will be signed that documents NPS approval of the final plan, and the alternative or actions constituting the approved plan will be identified for implementation.
