Glen Canyon Rim Trail EA Scoping Brochure
Glen Canyon National Recreation Area is accepting public comments on a proposal to build a recreational trail along the southeast rim of Glen Canyon just below the Glen Canyon Dam. The Glen Canyon Rim Trail is a proposed non-motorized recreational trail which would be approximately 7.5 miles in length, and would connect the recreation area's existing Horseshoe Bend Trail with the city of Page, AZ's existing Rim Trail. The proposed trail is a joint project between the National Park Service (NPS) and the city of Page. The NPS is seeking your comments to help us identify issues and alternatives for consideration in an Environmental Assessment for the Rim Trail project.
The NPS will host an open house to answer questions and gather input about the proposed Glen Canyon Rim Trail project. The open house is scheduled for April 23, 2008, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Glen Canyon NRA headquarters, 691 Scenic View Drive, Page, AZ, (928-608-6200 for directions and information).
