Pulltite FONSI

The Midwest Regional Director has signed the 'Finding Of No Significant Impact'(FONSI). Based on the analysis contained in the environmental assessment, the Selected Alternative for the construction of a new ADA-accessible visitor contact facility that will include a 1,050 square foot building with visitor interpretive services, ranger and maintenance office space, modern men's and women's restrooms, and ADA-accessible showers will not have significant impacts on the human environment either by itself or considering cumulative impacts. It has been determined that an environmental impact statement is not required for this project and thus will not be prepared for implementation of the Selected Alternative.

The park will begin construction the last week of January 2008.
