Draft Memorandum of Agreement

The Park has provided a draft Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) developed in Section 106 consultation with the PA State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) and other consulting parties for public review. This agreement documents the determination of adverse effect resulting from the planned demolition of the Bishop House and Barn and stipulates certain measures to mitigate the adverse effect. Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and its implementing regulations, 36 CFR 800, requires federal agencies to consider the effects of undertakings on historic properties and to provide the SHPO, the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, and other interested parties an opportunity to review and comment on the undertaking.
