Visitor Circulation and Experience Plan


The purpose of the Sitka NHP Visitor Circulation and Experience Plan is to protect and preserve the park's unique resources while providing visitor access to experience and meaningfully connect with the cultural and natural landscapes. The proposed actions within the Visitor Circulation and Experience Plan are intended to improve visitor circulation within the congested areas (i.e., the upper and lower parking lots and visitor center) and improve visitor experience. The plan provides general management direction and updates elements of the park's general management plan from 1998, while also proposing specific site improvements at the upper and lower parking lots, visitor center, and the surrounding trail network.
